CCANJ promotes a universally accessible, affordable & high quality system of early care & education that is responsive to parental choice. We believe that all children deserve access to high quality, affordable child care. We recognize that families need support in understanding and accessing the child care options in their community and we represent those agencies that help them do so.

CCANJ Honors Leaders

At the July 2016 Child Care Aware of New Jersey (CCANJ) Annual Retreat, the CCANJ membership presented three awards to recognize leaders in the field of early care and education. 2016 recipients include:Leadership Award- Rebekka Zydel of Child & Family Resources; Emerging Leader - Jeanette LeBron of Community Coordinated Child Care of Union County and Circle of Collaboration - Sue Marella, recently retired Family Child Care Specialist from the NJ Department of Children and Families.

Connections & Solutions: Building a Bridge to the Future

Child Care Connection/ Community Child Care Solutions 2016 Conference for Early Care and Education, Connections & Solutions: Building a Bridge to the Future, is scheduled for Saturday, October 22, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Princeton. The day will include two workshop sessions, lunch, vendor exhibits, and a keynote address by Lou Warren-Groomes, trainer, instructor, mentor, teacher, family child care provider, speaker, and co-founder of the New Jersey Family Child Care Providers' Association.

We are excited to announce that in February 2016, NJACCRRA officially became Child Care Aware of New Jersey (CCANJ) to align with our national organization, Child Care Aware of America. While our name may have changed, our mission - to promote a universally accessible, affordable and high-quality system of early care and education that is responsive to parental choice - remains the same. As a member of the nation's leading voice for child care, Child Care Aware of New Jersey is in the forefront of the national agenda to elevate safety and learning standards for the more than 11 million children in America in child care and ensure the highest quality child care is affordable and accessible to all families.
